Well my bike wont be ready until next wednesday and it is killing me. I have read evey post on this board, memorized the h-d parts book and planned my first ride. Im going crazy. You would think I am waiting to bring home my first born son. This is my first bike and I am so excited. Any of you guys remember the feeling of picking up your first bike? Does any of that excitement go away on your next purchase?? I sure hope not. Makes me feel like Im 9 years old on Christmas eve. Funny how a machine can do turn a man into a giddy boy. Well I better go call the dealer and make sure every thing is going ok.

Can't say the feeling goes away. I was just about as excited about the one I just bought as I was about getting my old '87 Heritage, or the '95 Roadking, or the not even running Cushman that I traded for back when I was 12
Man clammy 7 months, that sucks. Not to add salt to the wound, but all 4 dealers around me in connecticut have night trains in stock, The dealer I bought mine from had a black cherry pearl on the floor, which I really liked, but wanted the black pearl, so I figured I would have to wait a while. He punched up his inventory and had one in a crate in the back of the store, F.I. with alarm, just what I wanted, had it delivered the next week-Jan 15th.
Now I know this is bumming you out, but me too. I have yet to ride it, start it, or even see it since it was delivered, and stored for winter. Soon for both of us i'm sure.
Good to hear guys, Im only 22 years old and have had getting a bike as a dream since I remember. I finally found a way to make it happen. I figure take advantage of it now. deal with the bills later.
Clammy sorry about the seven months. I was lucking to find the bike I wanted at the second dealership i visited. Used, but what the hell, it was calling me I really had no choice.
Cant wait.

I've heard this frome a number of people in the USA... sigh... up here, the dealers don't stock all the models all the time, and I needed time to save up the down payment anyway, but it's been brutal. I'm sure 1/2 my posts on here have been complaining about having to wait... for that I apologise! At least I see the light at the end of the tunnel now!
