Was thinking about installing chome lower fork sliders on my 2001 \\;Fat Boy \\;but didn't want to get into a lot of $$$. Anyone have any input on chrome covers instead of the fork sliders?
Just my .02 but they look cheap and cheasy. Have you looked into doing a chrome swap on ebay or any other chrome companies? Some harley dealers do chrome swaps too. \\;
Thought about it but trying to avoid \\;the cost of a couple hundred bucks for the forks, $100 - $200 \\;for labor and \\;don't have the time or patience right now to do it. Was looking for something quick and easy....
May be a winter project!

Then wait until you have the money, time and patience. Take the money you were going to spend on covers and save it towards the real thing....
 \\;
Did mine in the Winter and it's worth the wait....
