hey guys my pc111 was giving me some trouble when try to start my 07 fatboy I did everything they said by starting it before the engine lights goes out but sometimes it wouldn't turn over I would to wait sometimes 20 minutes I finally called dynojet customer service they told me to send it back to them so they can check it out. well I sent it to them they got it last monday I call today to c the progress and they told me to call back in a couple of days.how good is there customer service. and when should i expect my pc111 back im missing a lot of rides causes of this.
I had the same problem. My bike would not start on occasion. One day it did not start at all. I took the PCIII out of the loop and boom, she started right up. I rode home with the PCIII out of the loop and the bike ran fine. She started popping on decel so I put my old breather back on. The popping stopped and the plugs show that she is running cool. I really don't think I will use the PCIII when it returns. I like the reliability....
I also had the same problems with my pc3 it would also cut out on me while riding. I sent it back took about 2 or 3 weeks to get it back with a letter stating that there is nothing wrong with it. \\;I ran the bike without it in the loop and felt it ran about the same. in the end i sold the pc3 bought sert and am much happier. i dont think the pc3 works as well on the 07s and up as well as it did pre 2006 on the old 88 tc.
o7fatty why did it took so long for them to send it back to you.and i dont think i could ride the bike since i took the o2 sensors off plus i have rinehart cross back flush pipes and a arlen ness big sucker on the bike.
I had a problem simular with my PCIII the bike would not start.
I unplugged PCIII and it started. Surmized that this was shortly after I washed it.
Long story short it was moisture in the PCIII it happened a couple of times.
I contacted support and they swore it the unit is waterproof.
After it dried out four a couple of days I wrapped the PCIII in a zip lock bag and have not had any further issue over a year now.
good news I think after getting the around I finally spoke to someone at dynojet that wanted to work he said that nothing wrong with my pc111 and they couldn't duplicate the problem its been on there bike since last week he claims so they r sending it back to me he said everything is noted and if it happens again send it back. so friday I should be up and running . thanks for everyones input.
I forgot to mention that my PCIII was screwing up after washing the bike or riding in the rain.
I just cant see myself using it from this point forward. The bike is running great and I like the reliability. My PCIII will be for sale when it returns from service.
I'm running Rush 2.25 slip ons and the standard air intake now. The bike is not popping and runs great. I'm very unhappy with the PCIII. It left me stranded a couple of times and I just don't want to deal with that.
I felt the same way but did not want to go back to stock.
I put the unit in a zip lock and wrapped the open end around the wires then secured it with electrical tape.
No problens since.
Dyna jet is in denial there unit is not water proff as they claim.
good luck.[&:]
