Hi all new here looking to get a Heritage Springer. Looking at a 2001 Heritage Springer with 18,000 miles. The seller is asking $13,600 which seams a bit high to me. Motor is stocak and so is the exhaust. I really like the looks of the Springer. It has some chrome add ons and detachable windshield bag etc. \\; I am not familiar with twin cams at all. USe to have a '98 Heritage and loved it.
1) Are there any major concerns with 2001 twin cams ?
2) What is a reasonable price for this bike ?
3) All opinions welcomed
thanks Jim

Greetings,

Those are nice bikes and I too like the springer front end. The motor is fine...and you're right he's asking way too much. The market is soft right now and even if it was strong, it still wouldn't be worth that. I'd go $9500 tops on it. If you look it up in the price guides, in mint condition it's only a $10,000 bike.
I agree the price may be too high but its only worth what you're willing to pay for it. \\; I probably (actually, did) pay too much for my Road King but then again I really wanted it. \\; Its probably a good thing for me that HD's not making the H. Springer any longer...I'd really like to have one.
I don't know about the price, but I do know that those are really sharp bikes, and they don't make them anymore. Wouldn't hurt to give him a lower offer, worst that could happen is he turns you down.
