On my ride to work this afternoon, a deer jumped out of a thicket in an area I've never seen deer in. I locked-up the brakes on the Train and am pretty sure I ran over her back leg or hoove because she and I both almost went down.
I WAS VERY VERY LUCKY. I made it into work shaking, but I got through it.

 

yes i had three jump in front. skidded the tires, scared the fist one, skinned the second one and the third decided to turn around.
When i was group riding we had a deer jump over a bike.
My friend died a few weeks back missing a deer. he was driving a car and it rolled

 

Late night ride with my buddy.&nbsp\\; He's leading and cracks the throttle around a corner.&nbsp\\; Must have scared the deer because it jumps out at me.&nbsp\\; Huge frickin' buck.&nbsp\\; Split second decision, brake or speed up.&nbsp\\; I sped up and the dear passed inches behind me.&nbsp\\; Talk about a pucker factor.&nbsp\\; We were only going around 40, but it could have been real nasty.

Hey close call gald you made it though. Looks like we all have had a run in with deer. Love the back roads but always thinking about the deer.

 

Haven't had a deer jump out in front of me......yet.&nbsp\\; But I did have a llama run out in front of me a few weeks ago.....that was freaky.
