I'm a newbie. Trying to install the bags on my 08 Rocker. Anyone know what other tools I will need? The Stealer said I'd need a torque wrench. Now I see I need some sort of adapter for the Torx screws but still need to be done at a certain pressure. I just don't want to waste money on unnecessary equipment. Any advice would be appreciated.
What kind of bags? Saddle Bags? And as far as torx go I got my set at Advanced Auto parts And the T-27 out lasted the T-27 from my Snap-on set... But Ended up having to exchange both eventually..Damn TOrX
Just make sure that wherever you get a set of sockets that it HAS the T-27 in it.
Many sets don't include it, and believe me you WILL need it on a Harley.
Yeah you will need the T-27 for sure. Especially if you plan on changin out the derby cover and ..pretty much half of everything else.. The Craftsman Set last time I looked did NOT have the T-27 and its overpriced too. Not so sure I'd fool with gettin a Torque Wrench just for saddlebag installation

Just bought \\; two of the T-27 Torx Bit 3/8" Sockets from Sears. \\; Had to order them over the internet. \\; They don't come in the Torx set at the Sear's stores but they do sell them separate through the internet. \\; They were $6.49 each plus shipping (total price shipped came to $20.40 via UPS). Model Number: 9-34488 Item # 0093448000. \\; I purchased a T27 SK and it failed on the third Derby screw (pure junk). \\; The sears T27 appears to be a quality item and they are replaceable for free if they fail as long as you keep your shipping receipt.
I got mine at sears but I had to con the snap on guy for a free T27 damm craftsman not selling a T27 in the set or at the store. \\; I have had mine for 3 years and never had a problem with any of them and I work on my damm Harley too much
