Here is my 02 Heritage with hard bags, Bags came off of a Ultra Classic.
I used the rear crash bars and bag guards. The pin stripping is different.
I have a guy going to fix that next week. Just thought I would share this..
I am proud of the way it turned out.
We did my Dad's 06 Teal and White Heritage with hard bags, looks old school..
Can a passenger sit comfortably on the '02?
Sure, My wife rides all the time with me and she said its no different, the rear crash bars stick out a little bit but she said it's fine.
Looks great man! Post some pics of the rear and other side as well. What mounts did you use?
Hey Thanks. I will post some more pictures.
I used the front brackets off of a Ultra Classic and had to make the rear brackets.
To be honest, If you have four front brackets off of a Ultra Classic it will work,
The brackets come with the pins and keepers already, so it worked out great.
The new pictures are with my new true dual exhaust.
Don, I just recently joined HDF and just saw your posting on hardbags. I tried to open the pics but it wouldn't allow, could you repost the pics? I have an 06 FLST also and have not totally settled on what type of bags to put on, but I do know that I want them to be some type of quick disconnect.
I am in the process of changing over to hardbags and want to install the complete crashbars around the hardbags. My problem is the saddlebag guard for the softail is too small for the hardbags...can I use the Springer one or does anyone have the solution...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-Saddleb...itage+Springer
I looked at that Deluxe with the hard bags. Looks good!! Even my Mustang seat would clear. My question. Are there saddlebag guards that will work, or are those just out?
