Recently bought first HD. \\; 03 Fat Boy. \\; I notice the bike is a little sensitve in a cross wind. \\; Is it a FB trait or is it a case of me still getting to know my bike? \\; Any comments would be appriciated.
Greetings,
 \\;
The solid wheels do make it a pain in crosswinds...I haven't ridden a newer one with the holes in the wheels, but from what others have told me it does a lot better since the wind can go through the wheels.
I'd have to think it's you. any spinning wheel becomes a "solid" wheel above 37 MPH, thus blocking \\;the wind from going thru.... how much wind does anyone think passes through the 25 9/16" holes on an '08 FatBoy wheel going 65?
 \\;
has anyone wondered why we never hear of anyone complaining about the Ultras, Street Glides, Road Glides or Fat Bobs??

I thought at first that the solid wheels would make it handle bad because of the wind. But there is also a large motorcycle attached to those wheels that is going to block the wind a lot more than those two wheels ever will. I don't think the wheels are a problem whatsoever.
