Default Baffle removal help

I just bought a 2007 FXST. The bike is way too quiet. This is my first bike and I do not know alot about bikes yet. I want to make it louder but cannot afford new pipes right now. People tell me to take the baffles out. (stock pipes)&nbsp\\;Is this easy to do? will it hurt the bike? Will I pass MA inspection? How do I do it? Any help on this would be great. -thankyou in advance for you help.

If you can't afford new pipes right now I would just wait then.&nbsp\\; I personally think stock pipes without baffles just sound awful, not near as good as good pair of aftermarkets.&nbsp\\; I seriously doubt that you would pass ANY states inspection without baffles in your pipes.

If money is the issue, check Craigs List for used or just post WTB. You should come up with some real quick. That way you always have the stock pipes if needed.

I agree, replace slip-ons, pipes or leave alone till you can afford them

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; As it turns out the mufflers on the bike are HD aftermarket. I don't know why someone would pay to have the bike that quiet!!. Anyway, thanks for the advice. I think I am going to wait untill I can buy some good pipes. My luck, I would srew someting up if I go messing with it.
