Most of the riding I do, during the week is spent commuting back and forth to work with 95% being hwy miles!! \\; When I got to the gas station today to fill up, the gas "dummy" light came on 100ft from the entrance!! \\; I filled up, and it took 3.5 gal. \\; I had 122 miles on it, so that averages to 34 MPG. \\; That sucks compared to what You guys are getting!!
Going along with the spirt of this thread.
I just filled up my 07 Sportster 1200L today.
I checked the mileage and was shocked, I got less than 37 mpg.
Every other time I get over 55 mpg.
It seems to be running fine, Has just over 2100 miles on it.
My son did point out I have taken up a new habit....
When gettin on the Hiway near home, I run it thru the gears.
Get to over 90mph before the on ramp ends. This is only 2 or 3 times a week.
Is this my problem maybe?
