got a 04 fatty, get about 30 miles to the gallon, is that normal or should i get more?

Sounds low to me.&nbsp\\; I fill up every 100 miles and usually only fit two gallons in the tank.

 

I would think you should get 40+ depending on how you ride.

I avg low 40s and my bike is carb d.&nbsp\\; If your bike is fuel injection i'd expect even better.

 

I got around 40 stock and with cams, air, exhaust, tuner I still get 40.
Even on back roads that are marked 35-50mph I do 70+.
The highway I do 90 so it might just be my right wrist that keeps me from doing better

I get 40 with mixed driving on my 2005 Fat Boy with the 103 engine.

i run hi test in it and get&nbsp\\; lil bursts of black smoke when i goose it, could it be to rich?
i dont ride it too hard either

Poor gas mileage and smoke sounds rich to me.
Has the carb been jetted? Might want to get it redone!
