How hard was the FXCW seat to install? Simple bolt on bolt off?

Very simple. There are two allen head screws that hold the FXCWC seat on. The FXCW seat just slips in under the tank and has the two rubber grommets in the back.

What happens to the fold-out bit for the passenger seat? Does it remain under the FXCW seat or do you take it off??

1) Fold the seat up as far as you can, and remove the two allen bolts that hold the hinge to the bilke frame. Remove the "C" seat.

2) Remove the two torx bolts from each side of the fold out pillion support, and the whole unit comes off. Be careful as it is three big pieces with two bushings and some spring washers, and they are not actually connected, so if you don't hold on, they will fall apart.

3) Use a 10mm (yeah, I know...metric...it baffled me too) to remove the 4 bolts holding the plastic "pan" from under the seat. remove the two grommets in that pan (and if they aren't already ripped) put them in the new steel pan that goes with the new seat.

4) Using the same 4 bolts from above, bolt the new pan to the bike.

5) Slide the tab on the front of the new seat into the slot under the rear of the tank, and align the pegs in the bottom of the seat into the rubber grommets.

6) If you were lucky enough to get the frame caps before the backorder, slide them into the holes where the pillion support bolts used to be. Be sure to put them on correctly as they do have a front and rear.

7) Stand back and smile....then get on that bitch and enjoy your new riding position.

I put a 2" lowering kit on my Rocker and the ride really SUCKED! they did'nt say that when you lower it the whole 2" it rides like a ridged!. My friend owns and built MISFIT CUSTOM MOTORCYCLES and he helped me get it right. just letting y'all know just in case someone gets a lowering kit, dont expect a good ride when you go lower than about a 1"!

For those that are looking at closing the gap between the fender and seat you have tow swith it out and I lowered mine a 1.5 inches. Gives it a total new look and the feel is awesome..

Congratulation your bike is beautiful!
I got my blue FXCWC two weeks ago and I'm slowly improving it (pipes, FXCW seat, etc). I like the chrome parts you added on yours on the sides just below the seat. Not sure how to name them. Can you supply the part number ?
Thanks!

You must mean the frame inserts. Contoured frame inserts for the FXCW are part # 48212-08, for '08 Rockers. May be a different # for '09s, but that's what they are.
