Thank you so very much for all of your prayers and well wishes. I am Kurt, the guy that my friend posted about. I can't tell you how good it made me feel to read all of your comments. I am honored to be back home, at work, and able to join this wonderful community. Your prayers were answered - thank you a hundred times!

I sincerely hope that my accident serves as a reminder to all to double and triple check how they pack and tie down their luggage. I hope that a similar accident can be avoided.

After a shattered skull, brain surgery, three weeks in a coma, and weeks of therapy I am home, back to work nearly full time (s/w engineer), and working hard towards as full of a recovery as can be expected. I rode my Triumph a week ago around a parking lot to prove I wouldn't be afraid of riding again. Returned to South Dakota last weekend to retrieve my Harley and am looking forward to spending the winter bringing it back to new which isn't as bad as one would think considering that it flipped when it hit the shoulder with the rear locked up throwing me close to a hundred feet. I think the rebuilding process will have therapeutic value and am looking forward to riding again next summer.

Thank you all again,
Kurt
