There are numerous frame and engine mount improvements for the '09 Touring bikes. I will consider a Street Glide one day.

But right now, I have my Fatboy doing everything I want it to do, and long distance is no problem.

Yea, the salesman said they don't shake as much as the 08s but if that's true I'd hate to see what they're like. Another thing about the street glide is that you need to like to ride w/o a windshield because the low one it has is useless.

I've got 2 more years of payments on my Train; then its time for a Street Glide. I'm still keeping the Train, but I need the storage space for long trips w/wife.

Yeah my plan is to get the Rocker now at the young age of 25 then pay it off and get another bike for the road trips with my parents

A FLSTC looks to me what I think a bike should look like. I don't need the radio; I like to think while I ride. I don't need the fairing; I have leathers. I don't need the cruise control; I twist my own. Long rides are not a problem, so I don't see the advantage to a touring bike.

It's all about the type of riding you do (and price). Perfect world is that you have 2 or 3 models in your garage. My Heritage is all I need for now.

My opinion is that it`s all in the type of riding you`re in to.
S.., if I had the scratch, I`d have one of each. Hard to think that I wouldn`t be dedicated to one ride though.
The reason I`m partial to touring is that at times on the interstate, I`d think, s..., I could keep going and not come back. Somebody would be pissed, but I could live out of my bike w/my storage and tarp "roof".
Still dying for a "bar hopper" though.

Ride smart and watch the AAYY holes!

For me the Heritage does it all. I test drove a King and a Street glide and can't figure out why the seats are so damn hard? It's like they are not even padded, I thought a tour bike was supposed to be the ultimate in comfort. Why do you have to change the seat to make it that way?
