touring bikes vs softail
If i had to keep one bike, it would be my roadking. the bike is so versatile and can be
"modified/customized" for any situation needed.

I went from a Heritage to a Road King. I love the look of the softale, but the amount of riding I do and the type of roads I ride on, there is no comparison. That is why they call it a touring bike and the softale a cruiser. The road king has a better ride and actually handles better to me in the twisties. I put over 50k on my heritage, I now have 35k on the RK. I am not a stranger to either bike.
As far as the seats, you do sit in a softale and you sit on a touring bike. But I also think this is why I find it slappier' in cornering. As far as a street glide, everyone knows the stock street glide seat is the worst of all the bikes, most people swap that out first thing.
It comes down to what you like and what kind of riding you do, but to me, once you go to a touring bike, it is very hard to go back unless it would be a second bike.
