Default night train question

The night train has more ground clearance than the fatbob or street bob so could it be ridden more aggresively into corners without fear of dragging parts or not? Are night trains about the same performance stock than the fatbob or street bob..notice they have little more torque stock.

Hori,

I don't have any experience when it comes to riding a Street Bob, but I can tell you from riding my 2008 night train. I'm a very aggressive rider when it comes to speed and taking turns. But you need to know your limitations on your bike, so bascially you need to feel it out. I have yet to dragged on anything or even alone scraped any parts from the bike. At the same token, I recently lowered my bike two inches in the front and back and still able to cut tight corners.

I've lowered my Train 2" also and ride very aggressively. I actually tried to see how far I could "lay her down" and still nothing scraped.

Lean angle is the more relevant spec, not frame height. According to my 2008 Motorcycles booklet from H-D, the L/R lean angle for these bikes is as follows.
  • Night Train: 31.0 / 34.0
  • Street Bob: 31.0 / 30.5
  • Fat Bob: 31.0 / 30.0
Since the left side is the same on all three, I surmise that the exhaust is the determining factor on the right. That said, I scraped the heel of my size-10.5 boots during aggressive corning on my NT when it was still at stock height.

YMMV

I'm just back on 2 wheels after my crash. Got a night train last weekend. Stock height and I'm scraping pegs and pipes. I live here at the Dragon so there are lots of oppertunities to scrape. Never ridden any of the dynas. You can put a nt way over in a corner before it touches down.

hmmm, my kickstand scrapes, but it also has like an inch or so of play in it, maybe I need a new spring, but I kinda like hearing it. Only rear lowered an inch
