Default heritage sideplates

I need to remove the sideplates so that I can get at the sissybar attachment screws to add a luggage rack. How do I remove the sideplates. There are several bolts there including the ones for the saddlebags. I don't want to break anything.

I just did that 2 weeks ago.
Remove bags
Remove studs(bag bracket mount)
Brackets inside fender will drop out
Lift sissy bar
Remove screws(torx 27)
Install rack
reinstall sissy bar and bags.
Enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the reply. Do the bag studs just screw out? I was using a lot of force and they didn't move so I was afraid of breaking the stud off.

LOck tight probably, use a cheater bar, leverage. Also the frame may move when you take out the bolts, make sure they line back up. If not stick something in the to align them or you may strip a bolt, experience.
