bought the easy brackets for my 1200c- they look like a nice solution to bags hook up cause i like the idea of taking saddle bags on and off.
got the first screw out and tried to install the first peg. replacement screw was too short!
wondering if this is because i have a sissy bar and rack on the back (which adds a small amount to the size of screw needed... but that doesnt make sense - dont all 1200c s have a rack on the back?
i know that this is probably a strange problem but wondering if anyone else had this problem... and if so, whats the fix?
thx- i just remembered that the sissy bar and luggage rack were "thrown in"... so that make sense.
any idea what length i need to get?
and they have those weird head bolts?
there is an ace not too far from me so thats a great solution-
Simple, just take the bolt that is too short with you to the hardware store. Figure out what thread pitch and diameter it is. Then get one with that thread pitch and diameter that is the right length. Very easy. HTH
i had sent a message to easy brackets... they replied asking me for more info on my bike.
after a coupla back and forths it sounds like i might have had the shorter bolt where a longer one should have been (these are not easy bolts to locate due to the heads). they were prepared to send me the correct ones if i had the incorrect ones.
very impressive customer service from easy brackets!!
