2006 Fatboy, rode into work today, go to leave for lunch and she's leaking/squirting fuel out the rear, like right at where the rear shocks are. I can't see where it's coming from.
Is there a overflow line there or something? The bike will start and run. The fuel only squirts out when the bike it running.
Filled up this morning and rode 10 miles to work, no squirting until I fired it up at lunch.
Thoughts????
At the rate it's coming out, i doubt i'd make it home before running out of fuel.
And like a jackass, I have no tools on me.
There is a overfill line there behind the belt but after riding for 10 miles I believe it should have drained everything it was going to? Did you fill up lastnight? Remember that gas expands in the heat so could be that you just put way too much gas in it? I know this because it happend to me. It might be something else though and Im sure someone will come along with better info. Good Luck.
That's all i can think it is too....gas expanded. I filled up at 7am this morning and really topped it off. then only rode 10 miles to where it is now....i'm temped to park it in the grass, fire it up and let it idle for awhile and see if it stops or not.
