Default What retaining ring is this?

Hello all. In the middle of a wider tire install on my Springer, and I was assembling the oil tank and looked down, and saw the attached retaining ring on the floor, right rear side of bike. It is between 1/4 " and 3/8 " at its widest point. I have searched the parts manual with no luck. I have removed the primary chain case, cluth assesmbly, starter, oil tank, swingarm. I verified that it is not retaining rings on the primary chain shoe assembly, jackshaft retaining ring (primary side) and jackshaft retaining ring starter side. These are all larger in diameter than the one I found.

Its possible that the retaining ring doesnt belong on the bike, and somehow got on the floor, but, its not very comforting heh.

Anyways thanks

This is great news!!! Ill post some pics of my when its complete, or at least when phase 1 is complete... Nothing like taking a hacksaw to a perfectly good bike. Thanks for the help.

I hate those clips, you can never install twice.
