turp, it's the low profile, I really don't like looking through the windshield, this comes to about my chin. I'm 5'10" and it was a little short for channeling the wind over my head until I switched the seat springs from 3" to 2" it now does the job.

Gym Rat,
I was thinking about switching to the 2" spring but was worried the seat would bottom out. The 3" spring compresses quite a bite already. Have you had any problems?

HaloFan, I'm 190 lbs. and don't have a problem but I do notice a difference, the J&P springs are not as stiff but the factory 3" springs harldy moved at all. If you are much more than 190 it might be an issue. They were only $20.00 so it might be worth a try.

A dealer told me that changing to a 2" spring created a saftey issue and he didnt recommend doing it. What say you?

What kind of safety issue could this cause?
Maybe I'm missing somethig but I can't see one.
Actually getting my feet a little lower seems more safe to me I can flat foot a little wider now.
Did the dealer actually say why? prob not. They have been known to give bad information at times.

Harley almost never recomends low cost fixes, I would never lower mine, I scrape the floorboards on low speed turns all the time.
Congrats on the new bike, I really like this bike.
I did get sucked in for $150 on the new Harley messenger bag, I already had the Bobtail rack and this bag fits like it's part of the bike, I can leave it on all the time and actually carry a few things.

I like the air cleaner cover man. Do you have any pics of the full bike. I like what you have on it that I can see from this pic.

I like the looks of the Crossbones a lot. Last bike that tripped my trigger like this was the original 1980 FXWG with the flame paint job.

The X-bones is about as original an idea for a bike that HD has ever come up with. Just wish I could afford to own one.
