The very best hand made billet seat bolts are made by Dick at Baggermans Shop (www.baggermansshop.com). I have his products on my XBones and my Ultra. He is very reasonable also ($12 delivered). Jerry

Hopefully I'm not hijacking the thread but on a related topic, does anyone know if it's possible to convert the existing Deluxe seat into a solo with springs? In other words, use the existing seat with a different pan that is set up for springs? Reason I ask is I recently had my Deluxe seat reupholstered with gel pad and tempurpedic and it is very comfortable (did it with the wide passenger seat for my wife, as well). Want to retain the seat, but dig the looks of the springs. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Ted

I recall reading that the Ace of Spades nuts were sold out and Mark wasn't going to make anymore - pretty sure it's in the Deluxe picture thread.
In my never ending quest for a comfortable seat, I thought obout one of those, but it's kinda ugly under there. And the plastic cover from the XB is lame. A nice billet cover would be nice of somebody could come up with one.

And the chrome acorn nut is a good fix for those ugly seat nuts. Nice bike hey.

Agreed - the plastic cover looks like ****. I plan on covering the mid section using a piece of tooled leather from the bottom of the tank bib all the way back to the seat bolts. I'm going to use Kuryakyn's mid frame chrome covers to hold the leather down on the sides.

Here's a pic:

I just have to wait for Kuryakyn to release a cover that fit's the '08 frames.

GoBison,
did you purchase the complete HD X-bones seat kit (springs, tbar, etc), without the lame seat frame cover? How do you like the ride and bike geometry now?

That x-bones seat looks good but are you not worried about getting your electrical **** wet? I was going to stick a fatboy seat on my 06 Night Train but even the GAP that the FB seat would leave on the NT got me worried since the ECM and bunch of electrical connectors are right there.
