I'm thinking about changing out the seat bolts on my Deluxe to make it look a little cleaner (and also a little harder for people to steal my seat).
I'm interested in what you guys have done. Just some chrome acorn nuts from Ace Hardware? Are there some nicer ones available?
Mustang has a bolt kit with a hex on it. If you dont like the way the stockers look hit them on a buffing wheel...they shine up nice.
Problem with off the shelf nuts is the length of the thread...allot of guys have to go with spikes. If you like those there are plenty on ebay, I think colony makes them.
Glad I have a garage I guess...I never thought about someone stealing my seat.
I did get a set of the cleaner looking Mustang seat nuts Motown mentioned for about $9. Guess if you didn't plan to remove the seat you could wrench those down a little to at least make them need a wrench to steal it versus just some finger tight nuts.

I guess I never thought of someone stealing my seat, helmet, yes. Seat never gave it a thought. Guess that's why I have full coverage with $100 deductible.
Dang now I'll have to stay out of the hood or I'll be paranoid all the time. Sorry hoodrat, I can't come see you any more.

I'd compliment you on what a great looking set of nuts you have, but.... *cough.
