Paint Matching a 2003 Heritage
I bought a radical/numbered paint (HD part number 95706-03BFZ Whip Flames deep blue and turquoise) set in 2003 for my Heritage Classic. I have since then had a few dings and scratches and decided to have it touched up. I went to my HD Dealer to get a touchup kit but was told they did not have one nor could they get one. I then asked for the paint numbers so I could buy some matching paint for the touchup. I was told that HD will not divulge the paint numbers even to their dealerships. I had kept the original paperwork I received with the paint set and found the name of the contractor to HD ( Platinum One Enterprises, Inc. Riverside CA) who originally painted them. I called them and they refused to give me the paint numbers as well. Thus my dilema!! Does anyone have these paint numbers they would give to me. I know the paint can be matched by trial and error but it will not be exactly the same. I paid $2500.00 for the paint set when new and now know that I get NO SUPPORT from HD. I guess this is the American way. HELP!!!!!
