Default Ape Shake

Yeah I have a 06 standard and I just recently put 12" apes with 2" risers and at high speeds i get the front end wobble, now I know my fall away, air pressure is all good cause the day before I had 10" risers with straight drag bars that I made and I hit 125mph and never had a problem until I put on the apes. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know. Never had a shake with my apes. Did you put poly riser bushings?

With Apes you have a tendency to hold on too tight. How angled are they in relation to the triple trees? Sometimes, bumping them forward can help.

I have 16's with 4" risers, polly bushings and don't have any noticeable vibration. Could it be something else causing the vibs?

I use to get a wobble on my SB with the stock mini apes around 85 mph. Once I change to the drag bars it went away.

Had/have the same problem. Loosen up the grip will help a lot. Also remember a little movement on 1 inch is quite a bit on 12inches. But watch your grip relax and ride.

I have 20" apes with 4" risers and would get the shakes above 75mph. I readjusted the bars towards me some and the shakes went away.
