Default Fatboy or Heritage

Ok, am looking at on 03 Heritage (see other post) and ran across a Fatboy (05) anniversary edition with 700 miles for $13k. Have not ridden a FB so was wondering if there is really that big of a difference in the ride. Know the bars and a bit different but what else. Need to ride it but checking to see if it is worth my time.

Thanks!

I wanted a Fatboy with wire wheels. Found it was cheaper in the lmong run to buy the heritage and take stuff off to be a Faboy. Plus on long trips I can the bags and shield back on.

Decent price on the FB if it has extras like stage 1, or bags, or windshield...

Screaming deal if it is a true 15yr anniversary edition with the 95ci motor.

A friend of mine has a 05 anniversary fatboy with the 95 inch kit, awsome bike... He went to trade it in on a new Heritage, and they offered him 10,000. He is keeping the bike and putting bags on it. Just sayin...

The ride is the same. The Heritage has more acessories and trim. Just a matter of style vs purpose.

Back in 2001 my husband and I walked into the Harley dealership to look for our first Harley with the FIRM belief that we were going to buy a Fatboy. We had thought about it and just thought it was the sexiest bike Harley had to offer. The salesman asked us one important question....was I (the wife) going to be riding with my husband most of the time? Well of coarse the answer was a yes, so he told us the smart thing to do was to get the Heritage because it already had the sissy bar, the bags, etc for me and our long distance riding. Plus it had a windshield. If we bought the Fatboy and I was going to be riding, we'd have to add all those things to it. So why buy something you have to add things to when they already make one that already has all the things we need? Made sense to us....so we looked at that Heritage and fell in love with it. We're on our second one now. Never regretted our decision. Maybe that's what you need to think of. However, depending on the deal for both, you may just want to take OFF the bags, windshield, etc if you can get a better deal on the Heritage.
