I'm guessing that you need to make the modifications if you are using the quick detach system???
I have an XB and installed the Rigid mount with no turn signal issues... I did end up replacing my turn signals with aftermarket....

I liked the look of the black detachable sissy bar for the crossbones, but I didn't want to buy the ugly relocation kit for the signals especially since I like the looks of the signals as they are and plus, I didn't want a detachable sissybar anyway. So I made my own sissy bar. Just finished welding it up on Sunday and mock fitted it and looks and fits awsome. Dropped it off to be powder coated yesterday. It should be done today if not tomorrow for $20. I will have a new picture up by next week. And after everything is said and done, my project cost around $60-70. It was rather easy if you are fairly knowledgabel and mechanically inclined to work with metal. Just have to do some accurate measurements, you need access to an oxy-accetylene torch, plasma cutter really helps for cutting the sideplates, something nice and round to make your bends, a drill press is nice, a nice welder and a grinder. If I ever make another sissybar, I will make a jig first. That would be way easier. I used 5/8" cold rolled steel and 1/8" steel plating.

Jisham.....I will definately post pictures. I didn't think of it until after I finished welding and grinding it up but I should have taken pics while doing the project.

Here are the pictures of how much I cut off the sissy bar and how close it fits to the indicator. Well pleased with the results. Bit worrying when you have to cut something new like that though.
Yes it is the quick release system I have installed.
The first picture shows the piece I cut off and the shape of the bracket now.
The second picture shows the sissy bar fitted and locked in position.
The third picture shows the other side and how close it sits to the indicator arm (approx. 2-3mm)

Chazzy - Hope to see pic's of yours when it comes back from powdercoating too.

Thats all you had to do?? Damm HD damm then to hell.. Why cant they do that. Anyway. It looks like the quick release is pretty close to the TS bracket. Any issues getting it on or off and does it fully lock into place? Not that I need it. Just wondering because my dad wanted one and didnt want to use the cheezy reloco kit.

I just took mine off and put on a $90 Panacia taillight with built in signals, it looks exactly like the stock taillight. I also had an issue with the signals hitting my pipes.
I really love this bike.
