How often do you guys check your oil? I guess I am **** but my dad drilled it in to me so that now I hardly take my bike out of the garage that I am checking the darn oil. None of my buddy's really check theirs much at all, just at oil change time. Anyway, not a right or wrong answer just curious.
I check mine about once a week to 2 weeks, more if I am riding a lot. I seem to check it more often since I put the oil cooler on it. Afraid of leaks perhaps.
Not sure how much you ride.... but I always pop it open and do a cold check before she leaves the garage and then a hot check when she comes back in...
as a note I also check the tire pressure, give the belt a quick check, touch all of the major fasteners and then make sure all of the switches and lights work..
all of this is just habit from riding a shovel-head....
