Default Deluxe Risers

I have a 2006 Deluxe. Does anyone know the length of the stock risers? When I ride, after an hour, my lower back begins to ache. I am short, almost 5'-2". I have to reach for my bars and I'm thinking that is what the problem is. I don't want a backrest, I had one on another bike and it made it harder to get on my bike. I'm thinking that if I put longer risers on, they will bring the bars back to me some. I don't want Heritage bars, I like the beach bar look. Also, do any of you have any pictures with longer risers?

Thank you.

The Deluxe risers are 3 1/2" rise and 1 1/2" pullback thereabouts. I don't think risers are going to solve it for you based on your size. You need a handlebar with some good pullback. The Fatboy bars(55958-01) have a 9" pullback for example. HD bars are surprisingly cheap compared to aftermarket bars. Here's a link with all HD bar dimensions.

There is a handlebar thread in the Off Topic section. I changed out the stock bars on my wife's Deluxe to Heritage bars. She was having to reach for the bars and the new ones allow her to sit back with her elbows slightly bent. I posted a few pictures on that thread of her bike after the swap. She's between 5'5 and 5'6.

Do you or anyone know the stock handlebar part number for the Deluxe? I would like to compare measurements of the other bars to these.

Thank you.

You can compare measurements but honestly, that doesn't really help you much. When I changed the bars on my wife's bike, the Harley shop spotted me three or four sets of bars. I took them home, put the bike on the lift, unbolted the old bars and slid them out of the way then held the different bars on for my wife to try out. Doing that, we got the bars that fit her the best.
