I don't think you'll need a book to do this... the shocks are different then yours though...
the rear anyway, if you look under there you'll see the difference between them... you'll have to remove the shocks the rear bolts i think they are 3/4 bolts and they are a bitch to break loose but don't give up... you'll need a bike jack... and when you get the shocks out you'll have too press them to change the stud on the end with the one from the lowering kit... or take them too a shop and have them press and RnR the stud... around here they charge around $50 for that... after thats done put the shocks back in and adjust the ht to where you like it the rear is done. My front is stock ht so you'll have to wait for someone else to chime in for that. Good Luck!

heres a pic of what the shocks look like after the bolt kit is on... just longer and a stiffer ride

Sounds pretty straight forward, is the picture of the shocks with the lowering studs installed? And did I read you right the lowering kit bolts are longer? And thanks for the reply

I lowered mine 2" while I was swapping out wheels. You will like it when your finished. I would suggest leaving the front alone unless your trying to lower it all the way around to fit a short person.

Yes the longer the shock the lower the bike gets.
