First, I just want to say Hello to everybody as I am a new member of this site. I've been lurking for a couple weeks now and finally signed up.
I just bought an 09 Softail Custom and I want to get some bags for it. I like the looks of the Harley synthetic bags (and the price compared to the leather lol!), but I can't find what the dimensions are of the bag and I can't find a full pick of the bike with the bags on it. Does anybody have these on thier bike? If you do, can you post a pic of them and tell me what the dimensions are? How do you like them?
Keep in mind that depending on the bags, < Check with your parts people> you mind need a "spacer kit" to keep the bags out a bit to fit with the Customs wide comfy seat.
I put bags on my 06 Standard and I originally had the seat from a 07 Custom on my bike. I needed the spacer kit.
Nice lookin bike Soft06. Yeah, I'm going to need the spacer kit for mine. Was there much difference between the 07 Custom seat and the Mustang seat?
I liked the Custom seat...I could go and go with that seat. The problem was for my riding partner..my wife...she HATED the small Custom seat..her part anyway. Not enough support. And she felt she would fall off the back. And since she goes with me alot, I wanted her to enjoy the rides.
The Mustang seat..ACES.. I love it, and so does the wife. Equal to or better than the Custom seats ride.
