Default lift question

Finally got my Fatboy of of storage and wanted to try out my new jack lift. It is a Handy Industries lift and it works great on my Ultra, very stable. I tried it with the Fatboy today and it doesn't seem quite as stable. It takes a little bit of positioning because it is lowered. I am just wondering where to position the lift arms? I tryed the rear arm directly under the frame crossmember just in front of the shocks. The bike still feels too heavy in the rear, not quite balanced. I know not to lift on the shocks but maybe move the lift back another inch? Any input would help me out.

Default RE: lift question

On My Heritage I lift on the cross bar right in front of the shocks.

That is the back leg of the lift is resting on the frame rail cross bar right in front of the shocks. The front leg is just going across the frame rails

I have the Sears lift and never have a problem with stability.

I even roll it around and have never had to strap it down.

If your lift is across the frame rails I don't think you should have a problem with it falling off.
