Hi Guys,
I just bought my first HD! I got a 2009 Fat Boy (Vivid black with Chrome wheels). It is absolutely beautiful! I would like some recommendations on getting a cover for it. The bike is stored in my garage so the cover is mainly to keep the dust off of it. I know HD sells covers for about $130 but I wanted to know if there are some comparable after market covers out there. Any advice would be appreciate! Thanks.
Frank
Congrats on the new scooter. Be careful of the HD covers with the silver heat resistant material at the bottom, it will scratch the paint. Im with mr-moen, flannel sheets from Target work great.
I bit the bullet and got the indoor HD cover and I like it very much....I think it was worth the money. Get the biggest one they have and it will work for any bike you may purchase later down the road. I only use this cover when she goes to bed for the winter. If you are looking for a cover to take on trips to keep the rain/dew off during the night...Menards (like a Home Depot store) has the cheaper nylon covers for about 25.00. It packs easy and keeps the rain out. But like he said above...make sure the pipes are cooled down or you will have a melted mess!!!!!
