Fog lights?

Fog lights?
Ok, Im damn near completely blind at night (seriously, not joking) and adding a set of fog/driving lights to my truck helped alot. So, I thought about it and why the hell not add a set to the bike also. I know Harley makes a set for mounting on a highway bar but would a regular set automotive fog lights work? I mean could I install a set without it messing up the voltage, same deal as having to put on a voltage regulator if you put on LED turn signals? Id like to wire them off of the brights switch, possible?

I added the passing lamps to my 08 Fat Boy and run them all the time, even during the day. They are aimed on the low side. I feel it helps me be seen a little better in Chicago traffic. They do help quite a bit at night, though the Harley way of doing things has them wired to the low beams. It may not be legal in your state to have them tied to the high beams.

Why not wire them to your low beam, then you can ride with them on all the time?
It's illegal to have them tied to the high beam in most places. There's a way to make them stay on whether you have high or low beam on though.

I set up some PIAAmodel 910 running lights they have no problem outshinning the headlights. once you figure what style you want then you can figure out how they will be mounted. You will have no problem with the charging system supporting lights (mine are 85watts) and I can still run heated gear. I'm a big fan of function over asthetics when it comes to safety.
