Well, lots of people like me are Laid off at the moment. Could be one reason. Food and Christmas presents for the kids are priority number one at the moment - Til the "Messiah" takes office and saves us all (Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!).
right now with the election approaching and all of the "sky is falling politics" people are afraid to spend their money on luxuries...
unless you need to sell it... i would hold on to it untill the spring and throw it back on the market

Yup, I'm kinda thinking the same thing, I've had an offer by my father in law to purchase the bike from me and then reselling it back to me this spring to resell it. I'm gonna give it one more try on ebay and if it doesnt sell, I'm gonna hold out and ask $14,500 for it again. I know I can get it but the time is just not right now. I mean the bike is CLEAN and it is absolutely loaded, I seen a BONE STOCK 2002 heritage with 24k miles on it sell on ebay today for $12,000. I mean damn!!! But it was from Texas. Most people around here arent willing to pay big bucks for a bike just to have to wait till spring to ride.
I'll talk to my in-law tommorow and see if he's still up to the offer.
Its just bad timing for us right now, My wife is getting laid off from her job tommorow!! And she's going back to school to finish her nursing degree so trying to make it on 1 income is gonna be hard, Especially since she was kind of my "Sugar Mama" She makes more money than me!!! If it wasn't for that, I'd keep the bike and she'd still have hers.
I've sold a LOT of motorcycles over the past few years, mainly because I'm a dumbass and have this addiction that I can't break. I would recommend taking as many extras off the bike as you can and making it as close to stock as you can...then sell the bike and the parts separately. You normally end up quite a bit ahead that way. It's a bit of work, but often worth it. I just parted out a complete track bike and did okay.
As someone said the economy and time of the year are really hurting you.
Your bike is really very nice and you have done it up right. If it were me, in any advertising pictures I posted I believe I would also try and post some with a nice black seat on it. The brown seat looks great with that color but most people are probably partial to a regular black seat and might not be able to visualize the bike with a black seat on it. JMO and no offense meant.
In all my classifieds I do have pics of it with the stock black seat on it, IMO the Tan seat really sets the bike off. Its different, but in a good way.

I agree and don't see what else you can do.
I was lucky in Sept and found a buyer for my 02 RK with almost 40k miles. He gave $12K. Good luck - your buyer is out there.
