Hooker......................
I totally agree. When i fisrt saw the hookers headers, i thought they were VH from a distance but sounded sooo much better.. I talked to the guy and told me they were hookers.. He was at the dealer having issues with the heat shield blueing up. I asked him why and he said having trouble with getting the proper map?
1. I like the looks no matter what anyone else thinks

2. White trash bag stuck to them about a week after installing them. Got most of it off but it left marks.
3. Heat. Not because they get too hot, but because there is no heat shields on them so it's the next best thing.

I've heard them side by side. They sound the same.
They're the same, power robbing pipe, except the Hookers can be counted on having bad chrome.
I originally ordered a set of Troublemakers for my bike, but lousy chrome made me switch to the V&H BR pipes.
I just sold them for a set of Rineharts. Now with my 204 cam and head porting, there is a huge difference in sound and power between the Rineharts and the V&H pipes..

I have a 96" S&S motor w/a 600cam, new style S&S Reed Breather and a few other goodies, and with the addition of the Hookers i'm quite satisfied....aw...who am I kiddin, I can't wait to rip off the heads to get a bit of flow work done too
May also dump the Super G w/Thunderjet for a Mikuni too
But, your exhaust pipes will become more critical, and their shortcomings a little more apparent.
I stuck with the 2 into 2 pipes because I like the look and the sound better. I played with the Thundermonster pipes with the Big Radius. All of the mounting positions made things much worse.
Some way, some how, the Cross Backs really made a huge difference for me and my tune up.

BUT, unfortunately when my piston detonated it also took part of the combustion chamber with it....so much for those heads. Those heads flowed better than these stock S&S heads, but like I said before, it's temporary

And as far as exhaust goes, the next set will no doubt be a 2 into 1 system....but not yet, i'm happy with the sound & performance out of the Hookers
