blue and 2 orange wires with a white stripe going down
the middle of them. What should I plug and where???

Ok, Black goes to black, Blue to Blue, choose either of the orange wires to plug the red into, turn the lights on if it comes on then you know you have it right, if it dosen't, change the red to the other orange wire and try it.
Ok. Everything seems to work fine except the brake light
stays on constantly. Shoudn't it come on only when I hit
the brake leaver??

Right, the brake light should only come on when you depress the lever. Is the brake light incorporated in with the side plate? Or is it in the original position on the fender?
Check this out. I think I got it. I have the orange from
the factory harness to the blue on the plate holder. I have
the blue from the factory harness to the red on the plate
holder and the black to the black. Now the white leds are
on for the license plate and the red leds are on for the brake
light. However now when I pull the brake lever or push on the
brake pedal the brake light gets brighter. Does this sound
right.
