I don't have one YET. And as you can see in the pic it needs a 2" lift to flow with everything else. JM2... When the tins come back from paint it will get a lift....
I would consider the tank lift just to get my knees positioned below the tank somewhat. With the stock set up my knees are almost level with the top of the tank.
AzDuece made a good point about getting a lift when you have tall risers.
Bside the looks (which I personally like),
There are two more added benefits..
1 - You get more air into the heads specially the rear cylinder, that has to be good for engine durability or when you are stuck in traffic.
2 - Makes glancing to the odometer/signal lights a lot easier as they get more into your line of sight, so you do not have to risk looking 'down' and take your eyes off the road.
Check my photo gallery, you will see my FXST with 2"+ tubes and the tank lift.
Also you can see the tank lifted 2" in my signature, I can't go 3" because of my drag bars, but I am curious about it.
As I recall, Allot of guys did it in the Old days with their Choppers and Bobbers to expose more of the Motor. The feeling being that the Harley Motor is the best looking Motor ever produced and it should be the focal point of the bike.
