I've been fighting the top edge of the windshield on my 03 Heritage since I bought it used 2 years ago. I always seemed to be looking thru when and I needed to look over, or over when I needed to look thru. 160 for a new windshield that I wasn't sure would solve my problems seemed a little high. I recently decided to take a belt sander to the top edge and took it down about and inch. Problem solved, I'm so PO'd at myself for taking so long to think of this.
Came out really great. I'm totally happy with it.
I'll see what I can do about a picture.
I actually left the top a little flat, I measured from the cross brace up and marked it at several spots starting in the center working out to both sides, then connected the measurements to give me a guide line.
Took about 45 minutes to measure, mark and sand down, and only one power tool with 100 grit sanding belt, a dry erase marker, a tape measure, and a sanding block to take off the sharp edge and do the final sand. I would think if your trying to take off 4 inches like in the vid then maybe the saw may be the best choice.
