Still haven't found anyone who can tell me if there are lower wind deflectors that will work on an 07 or later Deluxe. My HD parts guy said no. Anyone have these and if so what's the part num or secret to making them work.
Was at a HD dealer and noticed that part number 58125-90B now indicates it works on 86 and later FLSTN. I talked to the parts guy and left with it.
After two false installs i got it right the third time. The deflector must be the furthest most outside piece of hardware when you install it. The windshield q/ds go to the inside. The instructions are horrible but this part number works!!!
Cold front just blew through south Texas but I took her out for a test ride anyway. Holy S#$% what a damn difference!!!!! No buffeting, less noise. I am very pleased. Good luck.
Thanks PirateRider. I just installed a set and they do fit on a Deluxe, provided you do the following. Put them on the reverse side (right side on left). Then make sure the attaching bolts have everything put on first, and the deflectors last (as you said). I have the detachable windshield so the rubber attachment washers for the windshield has to go on the inside of the bolts, the deflectors on the outside. It's a little trickier to put the windshield on now but no big deal.
There is a warning that Harley finally placed in their P&A Catalog, DO NOT USE Lowers IN TEMPS ABOVE 50 DEGREES. Using them in Summer Temps definetly affect engine cooling. I returned mine when I read this precaution on the directions inside the box they came in. I wanted to minimize rain and water spray from the front wheel on long trips in the summer. The Wind Deflectors do help with the buffeting but I've had three Heritages, all with winshields, at 70-- 80 mph I really can't get too excited with their decrease in wind buffeting.

Reason: Mistake in Post
In my last post, my 1st line was incorrect, instead of WD"s it should have been DO NOT USE LOWERS IN TEMPS ABOVE 50 DEGREES. That was the warning on the Instruction Sheet that came with them. My error.
