Default Lowers - wind deflectors

I have a Deluxe with a HD windshield. I am getting the dreaded "wind from below" and is blowing from my legs up over my head and helmet. I can cross my arm over my chest and it stops. I understand lowers are suppose to stop this? Does anyone have the HD ones on their softail? How do they work?

I've got them on my 05 Heritage and they work great. Hard to ride at 70 without them.
I leave them on winter and summer.

I have a 2003 Fatboy and I just installed the wind deflectors about a month ago. I'm in Ohio and have found that they remove almost all of the wind buffeting and they also make riding in cold weather much more comfortable. I road a couple days ago when it was 34 degrees and was not bothered by the wind or cold. Give them a try, I think you'll like them.

I have the H-D soft lowers on my 03 Heritage and they do help a lot, but you will still get a lot of buffeting. The way I see it if I did't like wind in my face I'd drive the cage everyday.

The wind deflectors work great. Good discussion on it here:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softail-models/284671-wind-deflectors-they-work.html Check to see if they fit your model.

I just installed the wind deflectors on my Deluxe a month ago. Made a huge improvement. I can cross my arm over my chest now and there is no difference in the wind velocity like there was before the install.

Deluxenut, which part number were the deflectors you put on? I have an 07 Deluxe with removable windshield and it's confusing which deflector will work with the Deluxe. What year is your bike?

Checkout airtite.com. I got a set of these for my Deluxe and they are way better than the HD ones.
