to get them out you have to remove the shields, not that hard to do. There are bolts (one per pipe) that hold them in. I believe it is an allen head, then pull them out slide the new one in reinstall the shields and make some noise. I want louder than what I have, plus a deep note. Big City sounds like the ticket for me.

to baffle or not...
...I had V&H SSS installed at time of purchase, with SE a/c and SERT and dyno tune. Regular baffles, which I liked, but planned a trip to a state that's not so friendly with loud pipes, so I had quiet baffles installed. Bike ran like crap and totally messed up my dyno tune. Took them right back out and made the trip w/original baffles.

+1 on big city thunder baffles, A few guys I ride with have the same pipes I do so I tried something different and they will make your pipes sound better! And since I did a 103" kit it sounds BAD A$$ now.
