I got them on E-Bay from american classic motorcycles. They are the DNA brand so I figure they cant be all that bad and I am sure they are better that what was on it. I have a spring kit to lower the front as well. I am going to do that when I do my rear 200 conversion and my new tin. Just wish I could sell the Sturgis wheels I have and get what I really want.

I had my 07 Softail Custom lowered 2" with the extended shock stems [ can't think of the correct term ] I love the look and the ride, BUT, the ride is very firm to say the least. If you don't like a Firm ride I'd go with the Progressives.

I just installed some used Deluxe shocks which lowered the bike an inch. Its lowered enough to look much better yet the ride is still nice. They are gas charged and cost $300 new from HD. Used they cost me $70 and only had 300 miles on them. Mentioning this as it is another alternative when lowering on a budget.

The sig pic is older and not with lower shocks installed.

Default Lowering kit

Here is the kit I used. Installs on the existing shocks and you dont have to take the shock appart to get the part on but you do remove the shocks to install. Lowere mine 3" then adjusted the pre-load on the shocks so it would ride softer, backed out the pre-load to 1/8 thread left showing.
