Whoever writes those things leaves a little ambiguiaty in there probubly to get you to have your dealer do the install. Anyway Ive done this on my bones and it wasnt too bad the manual is just going to give you more torque settings and whatnot for removing the riser and all. Just make sure after you reroute your cables that when you turn the bars to the right the throttle doesnt get stuck when twisting it.

I am not 100% positive but if you are planning on installing the relocation brackets from J&P cycles you wont be able to install the windshield. It is one or the other. Just a heads up
i called the stealer today and the guy was pretty cool, he gave me the torque specs for the risers and said that is all the directions don't give me.

travis, yeah i think your right, i"ll have to check it out better once the windshield is on. I haven't ridden with a windshield ever before but i plan on riding all year snow permitting, and i've been told it will really help on those nights when its 17 degrees. danm that was nippy.
