Throttle hesitation

Have owned my '02 Heritage (5200 miles, carb.) for about 2 months and have had it to the dealer several times for a hesitation that is constant when I slowly open the throttle at low rpm's with the enrichener fully closed, even when the bike is fully warmed up (does not happen when the enrichener is more than 1/4 open). Dealer says there are no problems with it after several rides by their techs. I can only compare it to my XL, but I can't believe this is normal. Any help?

The enrichener is a choke (i.e., it lets less air in across the board, thus making the mixture richer). If it only happens off idle and not when the enrichener is part way out, go up a size on the idle jet. This will accomplish the same thing, without making you run too rich through the rest of the rpm range.

maybe the accelerator pump is clogged. easy to check. just remove the air filter and look for a squirt. if it is there then maybe a vacuum leak.

I would find another dealer or indy to get that fixed. either its dirty or the jets are too small.too lean, a friend had the same issue and a indy fixed it for him
