,,,I went with the rocker c,,,although this past week I took a friend of mine to the dealership to pick her crossbones up and she swears by it ...both are nice bikes but I do like the more custom look of the Rocker and the things I can do to it to make it fit my personality...ride both and go with your heart...good luck

The thought of getting a sportster or a triumph as a transitional bike did cross my mind, but then I thought about the "wife" factor. I'd rather just take her complaining once rather than twice so I decided to just go with the long term bike and let her find something else to complain about after that.

Test ride each and see which you like best.

A lot of people say to find the bike that fits your personality or style. With some people, this is an easy task. With others, it's not.

Since I never did a introductory thread, I guess I can tell you guys a little about me here and see if you can pick a bike that "fits" my personality. I'm a 39 year old medical doctor who likes scotch (only on Saturday nights) and Cuban cigars (1 daily). I have been to at least 200 Grateful Dead shows, I love golf, I love studying about macroeconomics, Vespas, Lambrettas, and now Harleys. I live in a suburb of NYC and have a wife and 2 small kids.

So which bike fits my personality?

Stick with the Vespa. No only kidding.Really can't tell from what you have said about yourself as to which bike would suit you,and deep down only you know how you feel about each bike. The only way to find out is to ride them.

I was trying to decide between the Rocker C and the Fat boy...test rode the Rocker and never even thought about taking the Fat boy for test ride after getting off the Rocker. Maybe I should have, don't know, but I love the way my Rocker rides and feels...no regrets.

You joking abou the Vespa dude??
....seriously, I would disagree with the advice to buy the small bike as well. As long as you know how to ride, you are big enough that you will want a big bike.

yeah dont buy a small bike first......with the bones or rocker you can keep them forever! and then get a touring when you get older! that is what im doing, i had the same debate only being 19 but i decided to get the rocker but i talked my old man to get a crossbones so now i can ride either! it is great but the price is pretty much the same depending on the year you are looking at! test ride them both and maybe even throw in a fat bob or something because after i bought my rocker i rode the fat bob and loved it(almost as much as my rocker)!
