They are both so amazing I cant decide which one to get, and no, I cant afford to get both. This is my first motorcycle. I have been riding around on a 250cc vespa for a while. I am 6'1" 250lbs and I lift weights often so I dont think I'll have a problem handling either one, but it will take some getting used to. Any pros/cons to either one for my situation?
6'6" and 270lbs....my Rocker is a great ride for me...go with your heart cause they are both beautiful bikes that you can mod to fit you the way you want... it's all about the ride!!!
definitely test ride them bro. to help me decide on what bike i wanted i looked at which bike i would have an easier time turning into the animal that i really wanted to own. the rocker is a great blank canvas.....the possibilities are endless (so is the bones). It all comes down to your style.
see if you can test ride em
then decide, also what style are you ?
both are nice good luck
I cant seem to commit to a style. What can I say, I'm complex and multifaceted.
I would love to test ride them both, but the dealers around here dont do rentals until April 1st and I dont want to wait that long. I'm going to Florida in a couple of weeks so I'll see if I can ride them both down there.
having a few HDs in the past when I test rode the bones it felt like the "same old same old", but when I rode the rocker i was amazed at how well & fun it handles.
dont get me wrong i like the bones but in my view. the rocker looks different it shure feels it. justb my 2c
oh yeah you can get an 08 roc for 15k
If you're coming straight off a 250cc Vespa, I'd give both a miss & get something midsize. If you must go H-D aim for a sportster, but a 5/600cc Japanese would be far better to learn your craft on for a year.

I am sorry and disagree with Reverend. The Cross Bones is the first street bike I have ever owned. I took the motorcycle safety course and learned the basics on how to ride. Had the whole summer to ride. As far as which bike, very hard decision. The nice thing about it though, which ever bike you choose, you won't be disappointed. Good Luck!
Style wise these are the two farthest apart softtails out there. Old and New, I have ridden both and got the bones, but mostly for the look. The biggest handleing difference I noticed is because of rear tire size. The Bones has a 200 and the Rocker a 240. The Rocker needs a little more push in the corners and wants to stand back up but not a big deal, when you get above a 200 tire they do handle a little different, I would ride both before you decide.
