My alarm came from the factory, but I still poured a block of cement in the garage to lock it to.

mine came with the bike...got an 09 heritage...my 06 had from factory too...the difference it that the 06 I had to arm the alarm with the fob the new 09 system all you have to do is walk away from the bike.

downside of the 09 system...you have to leave the thob with the shop when they need to work on your bike.

oh yeah and change the fob bypass code once you have it

Alarms Only keeps joyriders away from taking your scoot
A real thief would take it no matter what (lift it up and Cart it away)

I saw one that was passive. it was simple too to keep the joy riders from taking it. it replaces the ignition relay with one that has chip in it and you get a keyfob and when you walk away it will not start. Digital Guard Dawg Type 2 http://www.jakewilson.com/viewLarger...pe#OtherImages
