I believe the basic fame is the same on all late model Softails, but there are several swingarm variations (e.g., Deuce, Rocker, and the models with 200mm tire).

From my research the backbone is 2" longer hence most Softail parts say all fxst (except deuce) Look on HD's site. In the specs it's 2" longer than all the other Softails.

Specs on hd.com says it's 2" longer and in the description it says the back bone was streached 2" So no we have the bastard frame. Have you noticed alot of parts are Deuce specific?

Sorry for the double post.

I've wondered that myself. I love the long low look. (the 07 is 1" lower than previous yrs) Haven't started looking for a frame to build a custom but noticed all the customs with the same type of stance were mostly hardtails. It'll be a couple of yrs before I have to research that project so if you come across a good match please share.
