Default Fat Boy Pipe Installation

Thinking about installing V&H Big shot staggered pipes on my '09 Fat Boy. I can get the pipes for about $600 online. Any idea on what the "stealership" would charge? The instructions don't look all that tough, but not sure if this is something I should have the dealer install. Also, how hard is it to install the V&H fuel pack management system? Should I have the dealer do that? Do any other Fat Boy owners like or dislike these pipes? Appreciate the advice.

Harley is going to charge whatever is the price in the Drag Specialties Fat Book. (you can look it up online) ...I think it's about $50 more.

Buy them online and install it yourself, that is unless you think you are incapable. It is quite simple and save some duckets that you can put towards your next mod.

Installing the pipes is easy. Even easier if you have a second person. I did mine myself in about an hour. Programming the V&N FuelPak is very simple. Just follow the instructions in the manual. The manual tells you what numbers to program in. Actually the hardest part was getting the seat to fit nice and snug with the FuelPak under it. Definitely a do-it-yourself job to save some money for more mods!

I put a Fat Cat, exhaust on, a few weeks ago. The hardest part was getting the new exhaust gaskets to fit. They seemed like they were a bit too big, for the hole, but with enough cussing they pushed in place.
You will probably need a 1/4 "universal joint with a 1/2" socket to get to the upper/outer flange nut on the aft cylinder. It will depend on how much clearance your heat shield leaves.

I was going to get those pipes, but my mechanic just install the 2 into1 V & H on a fatboy and I loved the look. Get alot off lookers and compliments when the bike is parked at bike nights.

I'm planning on going with V&H BS Staggered too. 2 into 1 just doesn't look
right to me. I would like to hear how they sound as compared to each other
though?

The question I want answered is do I wanna go with V&H fuel pak or PCIII or
something else?
